Nuggets@ Know thy Humanities

 All of us know the story of Rishi Valmiki before he transformed himself thus. The tale of him trying to waylay Narad Muni whose basic query opened the inner eye, thereby turning a rugged robber in to a saint and a poet is much told. 

Can you name another ruthless brigand who underwent a similar complete conversion, thus proving the redemptive power of an enlighten-ed/-ing encounter? 

A few clues: In South and South-East Asia, he is the patron saint of child birth, and is associated with fertility. Yes, the Theravada tradition proudly owns up his lineage.

Why wait till Friday to find out, right?
