Nuggets@ Know thy Humanities

The laconic Lal Bahadur Shastriji may not have written volumes. Yet his leadership was a masterful lesson when it comes to government management as an ethical expanse. What is the title of the archival compilation of his official speeches put together by the Publication Division under the aegis of the IB Minstry?

The 'NEP, 2020' shares certain commonalities with Gandhiji's "Nayi Talim" (1937). Name any two, and prefarably with a little elaboration.

Since this is our very first attempt at the new "Nuggets@ Know Thy Humanities" series, and since it is a Friday as well, here are the answers.

1) The archival compilation is entitled "Jab Azadi Kharate me ho", that is, 'when freedom is under menace'.

2) a) Gandhiji insisted on the prevalence of the mother tongue, even of the local dialects. For him, it was a critique of colonialism. For the NEO, it should more be like a 're-turn' to roots, right? b) Gandhiji insisted on education being productive, and socially useful. The similar insistence on skills in the NEP is also an attempt to wipe out the stigma attached to 'blue collar' work, I suppose.
